How do we monitor our quality?
Firstly, we rely on customer feedback. Without this we cannot continue to improve and drive the business forward. Beyond this, each member of the team takes personal responsibility in checking imagery, artwork, print and finishing before we dispatch your goods. We also use our bespoke job management system which tracks every job from quote to completion.
Can we improve?
Yes, there is always the opportunity to improve and we believe that this is why our clients keep on returning. We are always making improvements and adjustments to ensure we continue to improve our efficiency, reliability, product delivery and customer experience.
What have we done recently?
To ensure all our clients are in control of their own websites we have introduced “The Really Good Hosting Company” which provides unique management on all websites. Our banners are now welded for a longer lasting finish and we have also added 130gsm leaflets and brochures to our offering for even cheaper print options!
How to Prepare an A6 Flyer for Print
These steps can be used to check artwork is suitable for print.
Begin by taking whatever artwork you have and changing it to the correct format; in the case of an A6, this is 108mm x 151mm at 300dpi in CMYK.
To do this, open your artwork in Photoshop and drag it into a new template document prepared to the above specifications or downloaded from our artwork pages.
Then resize your artwork to fit (if needs be) and check that no text, logos or images cross the 3mm bleed area as these will may be trimmed off in the finishing process. Next, we compare any colour differences that may have occurred between RGB and CMYK and then zoom in to 50% to check the quality looks clean without any compression or blurring.
Lastly, save it as a high resolution jpeg and send it on its merry way, always keeping a copy on file of what you sent, and what went to print.
Tips to remember when sending in artwork:
Your flyer will be trimmed down once printed. Keep text, logos and images at least 3mm from the edge of your design (providing you design at the correct size).
- Remember that what is a 3mm bleed on A5 is less than 3mm on A6, so please bear that in mind when asking us to resize artwork, and also design flyers to size if possible.
- If you are sending print-ready artwork as a PDF, please make sure it is flattened. Certain elements can adjust between versions of software, fonts can change, and what we see on our software may not be what you see on yours. To ensure consistency, try not to send layered PDFs for print.
- Spell Check! We might have a peruse of your flyer whilst preparing it for print, but we will not be going through it with a fine-toothed comb assessing your grammar. If we spot a mistake we will tell you, but it’s definitely not something to rely on!

Restaurant & Bar Drinks Menus
The O Bar is one of our longest and closest brands we have worked with, being there right at the beginning, creating their brand, web presence and promotional material.
Our latest project was to combine all their drinks menus together to create a striking contemporary menu booklet, durable against spilled drinks and cheap enough, print wise, to be mass produced, but with a sophisticated feel and look.
What we put together was a 8 page booklet on 150gsm silk material including a 350gsm gloss laminated card cover, perfectly reflecting rich and vibrant colors aiding the sophisticated feel of the ‘O Bar Birmingham’ brand.
CJS Studio Business Cards
Only a few doors down from far’n’beyond Manchester CJS Studio is our local unisex hairdressers which aims to provide great hairdressing at competitive prices.
To ensure their clients have all the information they need to book or recommend CJS Studio the hairdressers chose single sided business cards which double up as appointment cards with the blank space on the reverse.
Our standard business cards are printed to our usual high standard on premium 350gsm silk artboard and trimmed to the same size as a credit card (85mm x 55mm) for perfect storage in customer wallets.
